After 3 years in the making, the first drop of Naar Shatta will be available to the public. This labor of love is a very special project to me, so I’m super nervous but even more excited to finally share it with my LA community. Come to Little Souk graciously being hosted by @betweeneast and @foryourviewingpleasure (check their bios for tix and more info). Tell them the Shatta Shawty sent you ❤️‍🔥
Grateful to have seen this view. Grateful to have experienced the feeling like no other feeling. Grateful for the memory forever in my heart.
Got to teach a cooking class in fall at University of Wisconsin in Madison. Forgot how how much I love being on a college campus, especially one as beautiful as Madison in the autumn months. Thank you to the amazing students running @wudcuisine and union dining for having me a second time. And thank you to all the attendees who brought such great energy and conversation! We talked about everything from Palestinian food and culture to sustainability and cultural appreciation. I love sharing a big pot of ‘Adas with everyone and there was hot tea with mint and sage, keeping everyone warm throughout the class.
It’ll always make my heart warm to witness how our food and culture keeps us connected no matter where we are in the world.

It’s this queen’s birthday 🎂🎉💐 and this will always be one of my favorite travel memories with her. My mom loves kabobs and after I had these with my cousin in Jerusalem, I knew my mom had to try them. Chillin’ with Mom in the motherland, on the steps of Al-Aqsa and eating a soul-nourishing meal is one of the best blessings and memories 🥹 Can’t wait til we’re back!

Find me in the frozen aisle dancing with the mlukhiyyah and bamia 🌿
